I absolutely admire the creativity and quirkiness that some of today's contemporary society offers. It reflects so much attitude within the new generation, in fact it's like finding the old ugly and perceiving it as something beautiful, something edgy but attractive and we all see this in the new trends of grunge and laid-back style. I think it's a brilliant idea to escalate runways & such into a new environment. No doubt it's strange to casually see superior stylish figures while your purchasing some cereal or meat in your lovely dashing grey track pants & thongs. I personally think it demonstrates when we pass that perfect stranger in the bustling city streets, on blogspot/online, in magazines, social events or in shopping centres we are instantly are inspired by their appearance or what they wear. It just goes to show human inspiration is just about anyway, in the worse or the best. However, it's rather wonderful to present a show that isn't so exclusive to certain people with certain social statuses and it allows fashion to be appreciated to anyone, even if it does appear like a reclusive industry. Although, that doesn't quite terminate Stolen Girlfriends Club's target consumer.. :D

I'm loving how dramatic it is when the models enter the supermarket and the flow of the dresses, the coral red colour (MY FAVOURITE COLOUR!) & that one dress that possesses the print of a dragon's breath *squeals*

Portman's Autumn/Winter 2011 Campaign with Abbey Lee

I heard news that she was taking a break from modelling, so there won't be much of our hometown baby dolled, rock & roll lady on our lovely campaigns & catwalks. Let's hope that her band is as brilliant as her modelling. As you can see in the above video, she modelled for this season's campaign with such grace for the Australian chain store 'Portsman' which could be equivalent to Zara (and will never reach the same level of pure elegance & design). I remember Portsman was for women who were in search for tailored work/business wear since like 2009? There wasn't a single attractive frock, the racks were filled with black, grey & boring colours. It seems that Portsman has changed their design direction. I always must walk into Portsman because sometimes they have incredibly chic, statement pieces and they're also improving on their trend forcasting skills quite well. They've gone from serious work wear to girly, flowy dresses and shimmering jewellery. Perfect clothes for the women who want chic wear & feminine pieces.

August is booming with birthdays and that means a lot of duncing and duncing. Gosh my feet are so tired from partying.

we're gonna sound cheap if we keep saying sorry for not blogging properly and being non-cyber active.

HELLO MUFFINS!
I guess its day 6 of the new year and well I hope its starting off good for all of you lovely readers. Well I'm going to clearly set my goals for this blog.
1) I have to have good grammar and spelling when I post because I want to improve on english thus becoming a good future journalist-slash-magazine editor.
2) I have to keep you guys posted regularly, write freely about things I am passionate about. I going to try be bold this year.
3) Brush up on my photographer skills because as you can see leo and casper just love all the editorals and photoshoots of amazing fashion photographers and we would love to know our love for photos in a more deep way.
4) I want to get to know all the fashion bloggers well, you madames are so lovely and unique and meeting new people, I learn alot and it makes me smile to know what its like in different worlds.

so we need to socialise more!

5) I gotta install photoshop and learn how to use the many buttons to make pictures come together with a personal touch. Whenever I open photoshop it feels like those big machines with buttons everywhere, like where Homer Simpson works in!

6) I wanna keep up to date with new and old designers. Oh the beautiful clothes these fashion magician create,
I have to save over spend to get the best of the clothes.

7) I already do this but I want to know more about fashion, these magazines are the source of my affection.

As it is BOXING DAY, I went shopping however my choice of the shopping centre was terrible. It wasn't small or anything just boring with the same chain stores over and over again. WORST BOXING DAY EVER but like I never really shopped on boxing day before because I'm usually catching a plane. But guess what? I went shopping with a friend and MY GOD is he a dam shopaholic, he even went off the bus to shop even longerrrr. CRAZY. I should wake up earlier to shop at better places, how was your boxing day?

I think I've become a bit addicted for korean entertainment. I'm always daydreaming about being the stylist for pretty boy bands that way I can work with hot guys and style them. Some korean bands have terrible outfits, like this particular girl band.

SUE THEIR DAMN STYLIST! This is terrible, green tie dye? Be a bit more creative, its got horrible colour combination and they all look like skanks. They should be better fashion icons for Korea!

I love their music but look at the brown pants? They were so outdated..Its not about the pretty faces! Omgosh they lack such style, it disgusts me.
But this right here is KEY. And I definitely have a major crush on him after I read this from Dazed and Confused Korea.

Twas an awesome day of shopping, I found so many bargains!
And I finally got to meet Steph, the lovely (and pretty) blogger of Blue Stars and Strawberry Flavoured Glitter
Lisa and Annie also came along to the vintage warehouse - and my god was it crowded, crowded of people in amazing vintage clothes! I never witness so many stylish people in one area, there was girls in the most cutest dresses and the guys were in vintage too (I really can't remember how the guys dressed but they were nice! hehehe)
There was one particular outfit that a girl wore that's been bothering me all day! She was wearing this oversized shirt with blue vertical stripes - I defs need to find one of those shirts!

Its really pink but because of flash - it looks like coke red, all tees were 5 bucks! Major major major bargain.

Steph had this canvas bag with Chanel logos written on it and instantly Annie and I wanted one, We're having DIY day next week (;

Feels good to be 5 cm taller and I can look down on people too

Twas a very long day for me, I'm finally home!
I was attempting to be a photographer after school.
by a) filming a typical high school relationship @ at my friends house. b) trying to take amazing pictures of the first disco at primary school.Visiting my primary school was so enjoyable, don't you just miss the memories you have on playground? I know, Lisa & I do! Remember playing charades in primary everyday lisa? good times.

Yesterday at school i was reminded about the dangers of smoking. Same old, same reasons. Smoking gives you yellow teeth, makes you stink, its addictive and it shortens your life. These effects are terribly unhealthy and dangerous. In fact one of my closest friend's dad died last year due to smoking and there so more tragic deaths related to smoking.And it wasnt till this year I was revealed that several of my friends take up smoking. And she is really a massive style icon when you see her getting dressed. The classic black dresses, the diamonds, the wayfarers & the massive hat.Whatmore could i say? She is the best dresser of all time
And the english spoken back then was so graceful and it kind of sounded like the french language.Therefore i highly recommend you watch it because you'll definitely enjoy it as much as i did!

my first couple of days back to school were not that bad.
although yes i did have some trouble adjusting back to 'school mode'
and i do feel kinda weird but after a week, i'll be okay.
however, my first day back was horrible of course.
i felt lost, foreign and scared primarily because i had science and maths on my first day back. :S:S
that night, i slept @ 2 am.
the next day was much better, i had food tech.
i made choc chip cookies and they were so goooooood
first out of the ovennnnnn HAHAHH they tasted like subway cookies YUM! that night, i slept @ 12.
the next day, was a combination of bludging and short periods.
that night, i slept @ 12.

as you can see, i've had late nights and i've had so much trouble getting back into school mode.
can anybody recommend some methods or ideas to feel better about myself?

Don't you just loathe the feeling of having so much fun and it abruptly has to end, all because you have to go back to school? GOSH, I LOATHE SCHOOL. Surely, yes I do love school from time to time but I've been stuck in LAZY MODE the last two weeks that I've been on holidays and now it seems impossible to get out of. If only i had an endlessly income like the rich families from Gossip Girl. Oh life would be so much easier.
On a somewhat happier note season three of Gossip Girl is out.

Gossip Girl season three is good but not as a great as it once was. The romance between Chuck & Blair have become similar to the exaggerating asian/korean dramas my friends watch. Nothing really spicy occurring yet, i guess i have to wait for more.
As for the ex queen bee, Blair Waldorf styles has gone down i must admit, she's been wearing these loose grandma tops and funny colored shorts. Her style isnt as preppy as is used to be. On the other hand, the new queen bee seems to have a more edgier style. Yes, i know the Taylor Momsen has got some bad attitude but you cant help but admire her new style.

At least the racoon eyes and mullet is gone.Thank God she hired a stylist!I envy her long & skinny legs. She just has to show them so much =='

gosh, a week of my holidays has passed by so quickly.

i've had a lot of fun this week, especially with casper and annie from (fruitcakeyou). casper got me hooked on mochi and annie made me laugh. so much happened last week. i touched a genuine chanel quilted chain bag and won 2nd prize in a raffle. i also won a bet between the grand final footy match and finally 'modernalised' my computer. i also saw some guy run ridiculously down on the up escalator and some kid eat paper.

italian designer assignment

I love italian classes because we're currently learning how to says things related to fashion. I cant wait till i visit Milan for the first time but thats not gonna happen until 2012 because i want to be familiar with the language before i do my exams in that year. recently, casper (cathy) has been the one doing most of the posts
and i feel obliged to create a post because cathy has been doing most of the posts lately. i need to update on our readers on WHY i'll be very busy the next two weeks. my stressful week begins with having to study and revise for a science test i have tommorow with an essay draft i have to submit as well. then on the weekend, i have to complete two assignments, one due on monday and the other on tuesday and then revise for another test on the same tuesday. and then i have to pin myself down to finish off 2 first aid assignments. then i have to work off a stack of homework i've ditched in the corner with the truckload of tutor homework i have as well. to add, i have to begin a group assignment on asian perspectives and finish off this 'empowerment' assignment due end of term (which is in two more weeks time), followed by buying birthday presents for two of my good friend's birthday in one week.

i just love how its so unique and vibrant.
The contrast in the pictures are so perfect and clear. Leo and Casper need to brush up on our photography skills. My dad has this big black sony camera that he doesnt use ( i shall take it!)

There are going to be a lot of changes,” says AnnaLynne of the upcoming season of 90210. “It’s going to be a very different show, and it’s going to have a very different look. We’re being held up by the clothes; there’s been a lot of debate and back and forth about costuming. Last year, we wore pretty much whatever-stuff from the mall, from Forever 21. This year, we’re going to be wearing Dolce. Fashion and beauty are a big part of the shows image.”

I hope so! last season's costume bore me to death. Sliver was the only one that had style, the rest dressed so plain and boring.

apparently models are too skinny to be on the catwalk and peers in my class strongly agree. Well i speak for fashion and I strongly disagree that models are not too skinny. If we had models that had chunky legs and flabby arms, it wouldn't be very convincing either inspiring to buy the clothes from our beloved clothing lines. The other thing is that models are the main cause of anorexia.Well lets face it,obesity is the major issue and we blame it on MacDonald . However its our decision to eat what we want and that goes for the skinny figure influence. Young girls should be freely able to decide what they want to look like. I mean models are immaculately beautiful but why would you look up to someone who can just walk and pose nicely?

WINTER GRRRRRR

today i went out to melbourne city and walked and walked. Just to buy korean vogue
but turn out i didnt because none of the stores have it and the store people cant even speak English properly!
Therefore I brought grazia magazine instead. (grazia means lace or grace in italian)
